ERIS Experts – Markéta Seidlová

RNDr. Markéta Seidlová, Ph.D. is a researcher in the field of migration and intercultural studies. Her work focuses mainly on immigration and integration policies as well as on all the aspects of integration of immigrants into a host society, with  main interest in the processes happening on the local level and in civic/political participation of immigrants. In terms of social work, she is particularly interested in the group of asylum seekers/refugees and the challenges they face in the host country. Most of her work is based on comparative analysis of studied cities and/or regions/countries, such as France and United Kingdom, and France and Canada or Czech Republic. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Andragogy and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Arts, Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
